Chicago Anglers To Help You "Catch 1,000 Fish" Spring Fishing Seminar


Elmhurst, IL January 7 2004--US Fishing Team members Mick Thill, 5-time World Fishing Championship medalist & John Wilkins will offer secrets, tips, demonstrations and equipment that will help anglers in the Chicagoland area catch 1,000 fish this season in local lakes. Sponsored by the Chicago Anglers Fishing Club, the topic for the day will be catching a lot more fish than anglers are used to catching. Improved techniques using existing equipment as well as the latest and best in fishing tackle will be demonstrated including a 42 foot fishing pole.

The techniques demoed will be similar to the fishing techniques that helped the anglers to catch 124 lb. of fish in 5 hours as well as 512 fish in 4 hours, both set during competitions.

Admission price is to be determined, there will be a fish fry avaiilable as well as a full menu, refreshments and raffle. Space is limited to 75 anglers.

Chicago Anglers Fishing Club
Elmhurst, IL, was formed in 2002 and features local anglers with fishing experience as well as members who are new to angling. Multiple divisions feature a Gold Division for the "regular angler" and the club is intended for children 8 and up with parent and families. Club record catch in 2003 was 105 lb. of fish in 4 hours.
